KANO STATE INSTITUTE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, KURA

“IN HIS EFFORT TO REOPENED THE INSTITUTES WHICH WAS ABANDONED”

Kano state Institute of Information Technology Kura was one of the reopened institutes. The Institute was established by former Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. It was designed to trained youths in Information Technology, to avail them opportunities to rise to the challenges of modern communication technology. The Kano government has reopened the Informatics Institute, Kura, with 250 new intakes for continuation of academic activities. According to Engr. Abba Kabir-Yusuf, the reopening of the institute aligns with his administration's broader vision for digital economy in the state. The Director of the institute, Mutassim Uba Adamu, while announcing commencement of academic activities, pledged to attain higher academic accreditation for the institute. Uba Adamu said the Institute would begin an adult literacy programmes among other IT relevant courses.
